For people who’ve tasted nonduality, awakening, or no-self and want to live there, not just visit.

On-demand sessions that guide you through the awakening progression.

Ready to go beyond the momentary glimpse?

Maybe you've sat with Rupert Spira and tasted the deeper qualities of awareness or being. Maybe Angelo DiLullo, Adyashanti, or Francis Lucille pointed you to the simple, ever-present, “just this-ness.” Maybe the 10 Fetters, Sam Harris, Ramana Maharshi, or Nisargadatta Maharaj has invited you through the doors of self-inquiry. Maybe psychedelics, the Finders Course, 45 Days to Awakening, a long meditation, a moment in nature, or a rigorous retreat showed you that there's a quiet something under everything.

What's missing for most seekers isn't the recognition itself. It's the persistence. The slow, patient work of letting the survival mechanisms in the body learn that it's actually safe to relax into these more fundamental layers of being and live from them, as them, when it intuitively feels right.

People come to Guided Shifting for one of three reasons:

  1. A first felt taste. You've read about nonduality but haven't experienced it directly yet, or you're still trying to get what that teacher in front of the room seems to uniquely have.

  2. A reliable way back. Openings have come and gone. The practice teaches your nervous system the natural way there, so what was a momentary glimpse becomes a familiar home.

  3. Deepening through the whole journey. Working through the complete awakening continuum, using sessions to release the deeper layers of trauma that keep the ground from becoming fully stable.

Whatever brought you here, I’m so glad you’ve made it this far. Thank you. And welcome!

Welcome to Guided Shifting!

I'm Jason. I’ll be your guide.

A smiling young man with brown hair and wearing a white shirt, outdoors with blurred trees and sunlight in the background.

I spent years seeking awakening / enlightenment / nonduality, maybe just like you. Daily meditation, retreats, endless self-inquiry, all the right books and lectures, and a steady cycle of motivation and desperation. Then in 2024, a nice guy named Rastal guided me through the entire embodied awakening progression. It was fun and easy. Then I moved on with my life.

I built Guided Shifting so you can finally access these coveted "states of consciousness" for yourself, so you can access this “wisdom” directly and not secondhand. So you can feel even more connected to the people and world outside your spiritual circles, and discover the abundance of teachers and guides ready to support you while asking nothing in return. And then move on with your life, too. It works for about 75% of the hundreds of people I've guided through thousands of sessions. I hope you're among them, and if you're not, email me and I'll try to help.

Below, I’ve shared a taste of the embodied awakening territory Guided Shifting takes you through. It sounds extraordinary and destabilizing, yet the experience of it is remarkably subtle and gentle, and it has made me more functional in the world. I went through the six-phase progression in about 5 weeks. Some users go faster, others much slower, and others decide they’re good for now and pause midway. There’s no set prescription: you’ll trust your intuition and use these sessions in whatever way, and at whatever pace, serves you best.

The Guided Shifting method

In each video session, I’ll guide you through all of the steps below over 20-30 minutes. It’s a specific formula, each step building on the last, that culminates with a “shift” most people physically feel or sense. In a typical 1-hour session, we’ll do 2-3 rounds through these steps. No memorization, visualization or meditation experience required. It’s actually quite easy, and you’ll get the hang of it quickly:

  1. Settle. We land in the body and allow the mind to gradually relax a bit.

  2. Inquiry Pointers. We notice how the naturally-arising qualities of peace are showing up for you, now that you’ve had a few moments to settle.

  3. Descent. We physically lower downwards through those qualities of peace.

  4. Stabilize. We notice newly emergent layers of peace and let go of the old ones.

  5. Reflect. We run little experiments to discover what’s similar and what’s changed.

This same method, with some little variations here and there, takes you through the entire awakening progression described in the six phases below. How cool!? It’s now been several years since I experienced the simplicity and potency of this approach, and I’m still in awe of it all.

Moving through all six phases takes place in 15-20 interactive video sessions you’ll experience on-demand at your own pace.

The Guided Shifting awakening progression

Phase 1: Peace

Sessions: #1-#2

Sense of peace emerges. Mental chatter and self-doubt reduce. Emotions settle into a neutral or positive baseline with less reactivity. Reduced sense of separation.

Phase 2: Vision

Sessions: #3-#5

Colors, textures and visual details become more vivid. Reduced sense of visual separation.

Phase 4: Reality

Sessions: #8-#11

Reality itself feels more dream-like, as though what’s being directly experienced right now is the entire universe.

Phase 3: Time

Sessions: #6-#7

Past, present and future feel less separate from one another, as though they’re all made up of the present moment.

Phase 5: Paradox

Sessions: #12-#13

Reality and embodiment fully return in ways that feel paradoxical (e.g. feeling deeply okay while feeling difficult bodily sensations).

Phase 6: Integration

Sessions: #14-#15

Sense of peace is persistent and permeates all aspects of experience. Simultaneous access to multiple layers of peace, including pervasive emptiness and fullness.

Common reports from each phase

Phase 1: Peace

It currently feels like being in thicker air, with a strong sense of stillness. There are fewer thoughts. No emotions, and it feels unlikely that any will arise. The body feels tingly yet heavy and indistinct somehow. Arm movement doesn’t seem unusual in any way, but when looking at a coffee cup several feet away, it feels like there’s a sense of what it’s like to be a ceramic mug.

There’s an inner brightness shining from the heart, an irrepressible smile, and a natural delight/wonder in all experience.

There is a softness to experience now, almost like a matte quality to it. There is a depth to it, and it is spacious and light. Very peaceful and calm. There is space around all sensations. Mental activity feels much calmer and quieter. Thoughts have a different quality to them, a kind of a softness, perhaps more ethereal somehow, though it’s hard to describe. Normally I think about what I'm going to say or type before I do, but expression seems to be arriving in the moment more.

I’m feeling super calm right now, like nothing needs to be done, sort of ever. My mind is very quiet: thoughts almost seem like an effort.

Phase 2: Vision

When I close my eyes, the body disappears and is replaced by disconnected sensations that exist in awareness but do not make up a cohesive whole. My vision is more enjoyable: objects evoke pleasure and delight. Objects seem to be slightly closer and the entire visual field a little flatter.

Vision seems wider, more like a unified whole rather than a collection of different objects.

The visual field looks more fluid and thick, with dancing colors and less-defined borders

It's like there's a light that's just everywhere. It's the foundation of all. It's almost more to the foreground than the content/objects in it. It feels more real and powerful than anything else.

The colors of the flowers in my garden are popping up. The colors are saturated. The field is not flat, in fact it is extremely 3D. The depth of field perception is crystal clear.

Objects feel closer I think. Like I can draw them to me in some way through my attention or sink into them.

Phase 3: Time

My mental activity feels smoother, less disturbing of the stillness and more subdued. There is a smoother transition between present, past and future when thinking about them, all of them feel safer.

Memory of yesterday making dinner could be now, tomorrow, yesterday...not really relevant. Memories feel like I can step into them fully, and the emotional charge of them is reduced.

I'm feeling deeply still. No mental activity, just present moment. Dang, this memory kind of feels like it’s happening now and I can feel the breeze. And the future can be happening now, too. That's wild. Just awe!

Yeah, the memory could blend with right now. The fact that it's a memory from the past is fuzzy. The time-definition of it is less solid or distinct. The future thought also feels like it could totally be happening now. Very cool.

Phase 4: Reality

Mental activity is significantly calmer, and I feel very matter-of-fact. Things in the room feel real but almost separated by a pane of glass so that I'm like looking inside a fish tank or terrarium.

In front of me, objects exist but almost as if they are part of a stage set. There’s a sense of detachment from objects in the room. Everything feels staged, theatrical. Not totally solid or real.

There’s not much emotionality, and the body feels heavier but kind of transparent. Objects appear real and clear superficially but also appear to be kind of transparent to the alive stillness in the and behind everything. There is a pure and clear vastness when I look for the “self.”

The object is there yet I don’t know if it's real. There is nothing behind me, yet my mind is currently trying to run the inference that there is.

When looking at my physical body, it is a very subtle experience. I don't feel disoriented or disembodied. Likewise, when I look at objects around me there’s a flavor of unreality, like looking at a movie, but it is very subtle.

Phase 5: Paradox

There’s both stillness and energy. The mind is working but it’s peaceful. Emotions feel subdued and are permeated by peace. The body feels vibrant, and bodily sensations feel one with the stillness and peace.

I’m feeling wonderful, could sit here forever. No mental activity or emotions. Do I exist? As much as anything else…the answer just feels irrelevant. Really feeling buzzy this time, as though I’m high.

Feel awake and energized. And excited. Mentally it’s quiet but awake and exhilarated. Emotions are calm yet energized. I feel more connected to the body. Am I alive or dead? I feel very alive but only as an expression of universal energy not so much as the body. I feel very supported by this vast ocean of energy behind me.

I feel more embodied. There is a taste of sadness that I can feel as an aching and burning in my chest, but it doesn't bother me in that I am happy to keep it company.

The sense of “I” seems beyond life and death, a sense of eternity.

Phase 6: Integration

So much peace and gentle love. Things look warm and glowy when I connect with the sense of love/life. Things look still, inert, almost dead, when experienced from this place of emptiness.

I’m drawn to things of beauty, there is a sense of tenderness to the observing.  It’s very easy to immerse myself into fullness and love. Things seem to be filled with it. With emptiness, there is a certain rejection of things and sensations. They seem less real, more non-existent. Fairly easy to immerse myself into this as well.

Entities bring forth gratitude and appreciation. The world does look different. Filling oneself with a sense of emptiness and opening the eyes, entities seem to simply be sitting there.

Mental activity and emotion feel like they are there. The body feels rich and vibrant. It's all a weird mix of everything. It feels like everything is a combination of emptiness and fullness. I'm still getting the hang of it. It feels good.

There’s no need to do anything at all. I feel safe and that all is well. A feeling of abundance, freshness and harmony. Whole and complete.

The body feels soft and spacious and light. Feeling more one with everything. Field of unconditional love. Deep acceptance. Contentment. Beauty. Experience of emptiness. Feel safe. Expansive. Infinitely spacious. Part of everything.

Healing what awakening doesn’t reach

Shifting sessions open the recognition. Healing sessions, featuring Sound Bubbling, proactively address the trauma and conditioning beneath conscious awareness: the body's deeper patterns of bracing, holding, and self-protection that keep pulling you back toward fear-based duality even when the recognition is clear.

Using sound, breath, visualizations, and a specific kind of allowing, these sessions give your nervous system permission to discharge what it's been carrying without narrating, analyzing, or re-traumatizing yourself, and healing these most vulnerable parts of ourselves with extraordinary love and support. People with TRE, somatic experiencing, breathwork, or psychedelic-assisted therapy backgrounds tend to recognize immediately what's happening.

Sound Bubbling becomes available at Phase 2 and runs in parallel with shifting sessions. They work on different layers and reinforce each other.

Unlike Guided Shifting sessions, Sound Bubbling sessions are often quite intense, in a deeply satisfying way. Common reports include:

Holy wow, a lot came up.  It was like purging on DMT without the DMT.

Powerful. With the first round, my body was shaking and sobbing (but no tears). Very powerful and after the second round I started laughing. I feel peaceful now but also like there’s more to go.

Well, there was immediately a LOT of fear, screaming, and crying. It was right there at the surface, and I barely needed to make sound before it started erupting from me.

I am usually fairly quiet and self-conscious about making sound. But this felt quite liberating. I’m feeling more peaceful and open now.

Surprisingly intense, and I am left with a feeling that I just scratched the surface.

I've never done anything like this before.
